Sell Yourself
If you cannot sell yourself, how can you sell anyone anything else? Do not look at this blog as a sales article on how to sell products, but when I refer to “buying things” I mean buying anything you can offer: relationships, work ethics, advice, inventions and anything in the realm of proposals.People buy you before they buy anything else that comes out of your mouth. Why do you think the largest budget in 99% of companies including movie studios, recording companies etc. is marketing? The answer lies in the need for people to relate and gain your trust.
No woman is going to go out with you unless you give her good reason to. Make her laugh. Make her smile. Tell her you own a jet. Sell something to her. Fresh bread turns into stale bread, and then we have croutons. For the slow at mind; Give her a nice warm can of laughter, which will make her think you are a funny guy. And even if you are not the funniest guy and your jokes run cold, it gives her the opportunity to see some other good in you, which delivers a nice bag of croutons for that relationship salad!
No one is going to buy something from some moron who cannot even pitch himself. Build a rapport with someone and they will leave you the key to their multi-million dollar mansion to house sit for the weekend (Don’t take that literally).
If you want something in life, give someone reason to let you have it. Stealing is wrong, so if you want something you need to convince them to give it to you based on you alone.
Give reason time and time again as to why someone should buy into you. That reason is you. Sell yourself as an irreplaceable asset. Your humor is an irreplaceable asset as long as you do not jump overboard with it. Your good looks are a valuable asset as long as you don’t flaunt it like Madonna. Your confidence is a valuable asset as long as you don’t rub it in everyone else’s face.
Sell, Sell, Sell Yourself.
