Become The Orderly, Modern Man

Clearly the world is a different place than it was sixty years ago, and so should be your mindset. Yes, it was suitable in 1950 to simply “Be the Man of the house” and bring home the bread while your wife sits at home and watches the kids, but nowadays household responsibilities are blind to gender.

No longer is it only the woman that heads the kitchen, and now more than ever is it more than acceptable, if not sometimes expected, that the male is the chef of the household. If you look at pop-culture today with all of our cooking based T.V. shows and publicized chefs, you will see they are 60% male helmed. Gordon Ramsey (Hell’s Kitchen), Jose Andres, Anthony Bourdain, Emril John Lagasse, and Wolfgang Puck can easily be recognized as some of the greatest chefs in the world. In fact, it is the popularized women chefs who are subject to the most ridicule these days. Look at Paula Deen, Rachel Ray, Sandra Lee to name a few.

Knowing how to cook automatically gives you that upper hand over the male opposition. Nothing is sexier to a woman than a man who can set a romantic mood at home with a well-cooked meal. Becoming a decent cook is honestly not that difficult to grasp. Half of it is simple knowledge, the other half is creativity. If you have no idea how to cook anything outside the box of macaroni and cheese, pick up a book and do some simple homework.

Learning how to set a mood is a modern day aphrodisiac to females. Candles, aroma, ambiance, design and attention to fine detail can all add to a successful experience. Maybe in grade school candles were gay, but now we need to grow up and see the modern day use of such accessories. Be the Don Juan of your friends, and you are a sure-shot.

If you have grown up being pampered by your parents your entire life, or even worse yet, not being pampered whatsoever where you grew up in a less than acceptable household, chances are your cleaning habits are struggling. College days are over, and it is no longer acceptable to live in a frat house with grotesque smells and substances staining every facet of your living headquarters. Besides the 6 a.m. coked out nights where the girl wouldn’t know the difference between the Ritz or Motel 6, if you’re a slob then you are going to get the exact same in return; and no beautiful woman is a slob, not even a porn star.

Make your bed every once in a while, do the dishes, fold your laundry and clean your bathroom. Women love men who take pride in their living space because they see responsibility and can envision a future with you. Even though 75% of the time that is exactly what you don’t want, this habit will sure as hell assist in making the panties drop.

A wardrobe is a man’s image to the world. If you’re still stuck in the high school days of striped Polos and Juno jeans, it’s time to grow up. Maybe in Nebraska this is still cool (no offense Huskers), but fashion evolves. No woman wants to be with a man looking like he’s 16, even if you are 16.
