Knowledge is POWER
It has been a staple in developing education for centuries, and the statement goes without saying that it is 100% true. Knowledge is indeed POWER. Wealth, success, relationships all thrive off ultimate knowledge. You can miraculously evolve yourself by feeding your mind with any direct connotation to the word of knowledge.Knowledge gives you that extra edge over your opponent. Do not always think of the word opponent as a winning and losing matter, rather simply someone in your opposition of conversation, or whatever non-cohesive case you are meddling over, which could be as little as what colors make up the color purple (blue and red). Having that mutual understanding with your opponent that you are the more knowledgeable of the two, for whatever subject matter it is, immediately empowers you, and your confidence radiates and at times can be so strong that it can almost blind others.
Females drool for a smart, knowledgeable male. They look at it as a safety factor because if they ever do not know or need something; they have you there to save the day. They want a super-man, hence society’s over-exaggerated depiction of the “Superman”. Nothing is sexier to a female than a smart guy who has the answer to everything and can talk for hours about anything. Knowledge gives you the power of conversation, and keeps interest. If you have nothing to talk about, you better bet your last dollar that your looks will not save a relationship unless you are an 8-ball and 12-pack deep with her.
Society views knowledge as a structural piece for status. Every powerful person defines a twisted variation of knowledge which they embody and can truly rectify. You can be as dumb as Paris Hilton, who’s knowledge goes as shallow as simply knowing how to dumben society with her ridiculous antics; or as genius as Bill Gates who re-defined what technology means to the world. In whatever case, knowledge equals status.
I am not trying to convince you to go out there and pick up every book to read, but pick up one. If you see something that catches your eye while browsing through a search engine on Google, read it. It won’t take more than a few hours out of your life for the instance with the book, or a few minutes with the instance of a website. Anything you read or see is knowledge… seriously- EVERYTHING. You can ALWAYS take something good out of something bad, and vice-versa. That’s where you come in.
I am a firm believer in tabula rasa (the “blank slate” theory). You form who you are and what you know from your mental and physical encounters. People tend to run through life without ever taking a break to look around and admire the beauty they’re running by. Feed your mind with whatever you can, literally. Do not follow others, or read into what you are supposed to. Form your own ideology, and others will respect you… as the Alpha Male.
