“If you can’t see the angles no more, you in trouble.” – Carlito’s Way.
Rather than getting into a long drawn out film analysis, I’ll run off a quote that stuck with me from Brian De Palma’s 1993 Crime-Thriller, Carlito’s Way.
Few and far away, there will come a quote I hear that truly changes my life, whether be from film, or real-life instances. I’m a big quote guy. I have a page of them sitting on the background of my macbook pro that I turn to every now and again whenever I need a pick-me-up. Noteworthy quotes have always given me inspiration to keep on keepin’ on.
Now back to this particular quote, which has given direction throughout the years. It’s about going into situations and seeing every viable option involved in the decision making process. Continue Reading…

The Alpha Male in his most primitive form has been around for thousands of years, dating all the way back to the apes. From beast to man, he has always been the shot-caller. Females today look towards the Alpha Male for support, wisdom and love. A man who cannot give these three key elements will not be deemed an alpha male. Many people wonder
how to become an alpha male, and the answer is not that difficult to grasp if you look at it realistically.
Whatever situation he is put in, the alpha male will always assume the highest status, even if he is not. If you are not the head of the situation or event being held, you need to walk into it making some sort of direct correlation to the person who is. There is ALWAYS an angle to work.
The more you become an alpha male, the more control over situations you will have. You will be the one who makes the moves, who sets everything up and dictates the pace. People will look to you for guidance, and you cannot be afraid to extend it.
Display an expertise in at least one area of your life, or preferably – many. Nothing says “alpha male” more than a man who others turn to for advice and knowledge. This is where those hobbies or schooling all those years really pays off. Now put them to good use. Continue Reading…

It’s all about the energy. Feel it every way through. If you reach a dull moment, either figure out a way around it, or back the fuck off. Stay Natural. Poor execution breeds from something artificially driven (besides Viagra, this is good execution)!

Clearly the world is a different place than it was sixty years ago, and so should be your mindset. Yes, it was suitable in 1950 to simply “Be the Man of the house” and bring home the bread while your wife sits at home and watches the kids, but nowadays household responsibilities are blind to gender.
No longer is it only the woman that heads the kitchen, and now more than ever is it more than acceptable, if not sometimes expected, that the male is the chef of the household. If you look at pop-culture today with all of our cooking based T.V. shows and publicized chefs, you will see they are 60% male helmed. Gordon Ramsey (Hell’s Kitchen), Jose Andres, Anthony Bourdain, Emril John Lagasse, and Wolfgang Puck can easily be recognized as some of the greatest chefs in the world. In fact, it is the popularized women chefs who are subject to the most ridicule these days. Look at Paula Deen, Rachel Ray, Sandra Lee to name a few.
